How to Measure

All Boxes Are Measured in

L X W X H Dimensions

One important note is that length and width are always measured on the sides that have flaps, while height is measured as the side that does not have flaps.

In addition to traditional dimensions, girth also needs to be measure for shipping via USPS, FedEx and UPS.

Girth is the measurement around the thickest part of the package. Girth can be found by the simple formula -

Girth = 2*W + 2*H

Shipping Weight vs Box Type

Once you know the size of box you need, you also need to make sure your box will withstand the requirements of shipping based on the weight of the items that you are sending. Single wall options are lighter and less expensive, while double wall products offer greater protection when shipping more fragile items.

Seal of Approval

Boxes come stamped with a Box Certificate Stamp that contains all the details of the box. Depending on which type of box you choose, it will tell you the shipping requirements that the box meets. Be sure that you are checking these to ensure your package arrives in the condition that you shipped it.

What else do I need?

One thing that is as important as choosing the right box is choosing the right filler. For packages to be secure inside the box, consider one of these void fillers to help cushion your product.
