Tax Information & Forms

Tax rates are determined by the shipping address of an order. The Packaging Group will collect tax in the following states:

AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, LA, MA, MD, MS, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WY.

State laws require The Packaging Group to have exemption certificates from all customers who claim a tax exemption. If the exemption certificate is not received, The Packaging Group is required by law to charge tax in the states identified above.

If your business qualifies for a tax exemption, a properly completed exemption certificate must be submitted to The Packaging Group's Tax Department. Once we have received your exemption certificate(s), your account will be updated within one-two business days.

If the certificate is processed before your order invoices, the tax will be adjusted based on the certificate. For a credit of tax on an already invoiced order, please contact the Tax Department.

If the exemption certificate received is incomplete, a The Packaging Group Exemption Analyst will contact you with the details needed to complete the certificate.

Instructions

  1. Download and complete a Tax Exemption Certificate, and email or fax the document back to The Packaging Group.
